Antisamos Beach

The Verdict

White pebbles, deep blue water and pine coming down to the shore — the best-organised good beach on the island.

Why go

Antisamos is a broad white-pebble beach in a deep bay northeast of Sami, with green slopes behind it and sunbeds, umbrellas and a taverna at one end. The water is clear and drops off quickly, which keeps it cooler and better for swimming than the shallow bays in the south. The road down winds sharply; park at the top if you would rather walk.
