Milia Beach

The Verdict

The best pebble beach on Skopelos: deep clean water, a taverna under the trees and nothing built along the shore.

Why go

Milia runs along a bay on the west coast with pine forest coming down to the pebbles, a taverna tucked into the trees at the southern end, and water that deepens quickly and stays clear. There is no village here and nothing built along the shore, so apart from the taverna's sunbeds it feels wilder than most beaches on the island. Twenty minutes by car from Chora on a road that winds.
