Lalaria Beach

The Verdict

White pebbles under white cliffs with a rock arch standing in the water, and no way to get there but a boat.

Why go

Lalaria lies at the north end of Skiathos, where the cliffs are white and the beach is made of white pebbles, with a natural arch of rock standing in the water at one end of it. There is no road: the boats that leave from Skiathos Town take about half an hour and usually go on to swim at other beaches on the way back. Check the wind before you book, because the north coast takes the full force of the meltemi.
