Agali Beach

The Verdict

A small cove with tavernas on the cliff behind it, and the easiest good swim on Folegandros.

Why go

Agali is a sandy-pebble cove with clear water and three or four tavernas built into the slope, reached by road from Chora in about ten minutes or by the bus that runs in season. It is the beach to use when you do not want a walk: shade, food and a swim in one place. Staying for dinner and watching the sun go down over the water is the reason to come here rather than to the port.
