The Verdict
Paros' best sand, with a bar scene that is about boards rather than posing. Windsurfers get the afternoon; swimmers get the morning.
Why go
The beach runs for a kilometre with sand all the way and shallow water at the south end, which is why the windsurf schools are here: in July and August the meltemi is reliable almost every afternoon. Morning is flat and calm for swimming, afternoon is for sailing. It is twenty minutes from Parikia and next to the quieter beaches at Faragas and Lolantonis if you want to escape the sails.
