Serifos Chora

The Verdict

A white chora on a hill above the port, with a square at the top and a view that explains the whole island.

Why go

Serifos Chora climbs a hill above Livadi, the port, and the walk from the top of the village down through the lanes is the best hour you will spend on the island. There is a square with tavernas at the crown, a small archaeological museum, and the remains of the mining works on the slope below. Stay up here rather than in the port if you want quiet evenings and the view to be the point of the stay.
