Kleftiko

The Verdict

Milos' one unmissable boat trip. Book a small boat, not a big one, and go in the morning before the wind gets up.

Why go

The cliffs rise straight out of water that shifts from turquoise to black where it deepens, and the caves and arches are big enough to swim into. It was a pirate anchorage, and the approach by sea makes that obvious. Boats from Adamas take a full day and usually include a swim stop and lunch; smaller boats can get inside the rock formations that the big catamarans cannot.
