Fishing boats and a ferry at the quay in the port of Adamas on Milos.

Adamas

The Verdict

The least beautiful place on Milos and the most useful. Stay here for one night either side of a ferry, not for a week.

Why go

Adamas exists to move people and boats, and it does that well: ferries and excursion boats leave from the quay, buses to the beaches start here, and the waterfront restaurants stay open when the rest of the island has closed for the season. It is also the base for boat trips to Kleftiko. The beach at the north end of town is ordinary; the convenience is not.
