A five-minute walk for the best free view in Mykonos. Go in the last hour of light and skip Little Venice.
Why go
The windmills are the closest thing the island has to a landmark: white cylinders with thatched caps, standing in a row on the ridge above the town with the harbour on one side and Little Venice on the other. There is nothing to do up here except look, which is the point. Go for the last hour of light, when the town below turns grey and pink and the ferry lights come on.
