The Verdict

Great for a winter ski weekend with a car; in summer it's a quieter, pleasant stop but not worth a special trip on its own.

Why go

Stone houses stack steeply up the hillside, and in ski season the town fills with fur coats, bars, and traditional weavings sold as souvenirs. It makes a practical, livelier base than Delphi village itself, with better restaurants and more going on at night. Outside winter, it's calmer and good for a stopover en route to Delphi or Galaxidi.
